Air hoist suits flammable environments

Industrial hoist and crane maker Kito Corporation will begin selling its new TCH air hoist in Japan on 8 November. Powered by compressed air, the air-hoist product has no motor to burn out and is much safer in flammable environments so can be used in broad range of applications. Kito says that by having no motor the hoist’s reliability is increased especially when in frequent use.

Improvements over the previous model include a faster lifting and lowering speed, which helps to improve work flow speed and greater durability. The Company anticipates particular interest from shipyards, petrochemical plants and heavy industry.

The hoist is available in 3, 6 and 25t capacities and requires no electric power so can be used anywhere regardless of voltage or frequency.
